About Lisa.

Lisa is an experienced psychologist who holds both a Masters degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and holds memberships with the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.

Lisa has worked in various community, corporate, and private health settings, and has previously held teaching positions at Edith Cowan University and the University of Western Australia. She has worked with a wide range of clients from all walks of life, and is experienced in the provision of short-term supportive counselling, as well as longer-term insight oriented psychotherapy.

Lisa believes that promoting positive change requires an adaptive approach that meets the individual needs of each client:

“I pull together multiple therapeutic frameworks in order to best fit the client’s interpersonal style and presenting concerns. Whilst I primarily think about my clients from psychodynamic perspective, I also draw on cognitive-behavioural and schema techniques for a more ‘well rounded’ approach. This means that I can be flexible in meeting my clients ‘where they are,’ which varies widely from person to person.”
